Origin The dried ripe peel of Citrus reticulata Blanco and its cultivated varieties in the family Rutaceae.
Function and treatment Regulating Qi, tonifying the middle, drying dampness and resolving phlegm. It is used for treating chest and abdominal distention and fullness, inappetence, vomiting and retching, and cough with phlegm. Also relieves fish and crab poison.
Origin and best harvesting period Produced in Fujian, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Guangxi, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Sichuan, and other places. Harvested when the fruit is ripe.
