Origin and best harvesting period | Dark plum is mainly produced in Sichuan, Zhejiang, Fujian, Hunan and Guizhou. The fruit is harvested in summer when it is nearly ripe, roasted at low temperature until the flesh is yellowish brown and wrinkled, and then smothered until it is black. |
