Origin and best harvesting period Fragrant Solomonseal Rhizome grows under the forest or between the rocks in the mountains, preferring shady and wet places. It is distributed in Hunan, Henan, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Henan has the largest production, and Xinchang in Zhejiang has the best quality. It is harvested in autumn, with the fibrous roots removed and washed.
