Origin and best harvesting period | Wild Galangal Rhizome is mainly distributed in Hainan, Guangdong, Guangxi and Yunnan. In addition, Fujian, Jiangxi and Taiwan also have distribution. It is mainly produced in Lingshui, Tunchang, Danxian, Qionghai and Ding'an in Hainan; Xing'an, Cangwu, Chongzuo, Fengshan, Daxin, Qinchuan and Jingxi in Guangxi; and Honghe, Wenshan, Simao and Xishuangbanna in Yunnan. Home species are mainly produced in Guangdong Xuwen and Haikang, Suixi, Lianjiang and Hainan's Lingshui, Qionghai, Tunchang also have a small amount of cultivation.
