Origin The honey produced by Apis cerana Fabricius or Apis mellifera Linnaeus, insects of the honeybee family.
Function and treatment Tonifying the middle, moistening dryness, relieving pain and detoxifying; externally used to produce muscle and astringent sores. It is used for relieving pain in the abdomen, dry cough, constipation and dryness of the intestines, and detoxification of aconite; externally, it is used to treat sores and ulcers that do not converge, and burns from water and fire.
Origin and best harvesting period It is mainly distributed in East China, Central China and Southwest China, among which, Zhejiang, Henan and Sichuan are leading the honey production in the country. The operation should be carried out in the morning, avoiding the peak collection period and bad weather as much as possible, and the temperature should not be lower than 14℃ during the operation.
