Origin The dried ripe fruits of Yangchunsha Amomum villosum Lour. and Greenshellsha Amomum villosum Lour. var. xanthioides T. L. Wu et Senjen or Hainan sand Amomum longiligulare T. L. Wu, family Gingeraceae.
Function and treatment Clearing dampness and opening the stomach, warming the spleen to stop diarrhea, regulating qi and calming the fetus. Used for dampness and turbidity obstruction, celiac disease and lack of hunger, deficiency of spleen and stomach, vomiting and diarrhea, malignant obstruction in pregnancy and fetal disturbance.
