Origin The dried leaves of Morus alba L., a member of the mulberry family.

Origin and best harvesting period Mulberry leaves are best collected after the frost, and are called "frost mulberry", while some scholars have found that mulberry buds have a higher content of trace elements. The mulberry leaf is widely produced, with the mulberry leaf from Huzhou in Zhejiang and the mulberry leaf from Jiading in Leshan in southern Sichuan being the most famous.
