Clearing heat and removing toxins, eliminating carbuncles and draining pus, inducing diuresis and laxative. Used in treating pulmonary carbuncle and pus, phlegm-heat and cough, pyorrhea, pyorrhea, carbuncle and sores. |
| Origin and best harvesting period |
Fishy grass is produced in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Anhui, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangdong and Guangxi. The fresh product can be harvested all year round; the dried product is harvested in summer when the stems and leaves are lush and the flowers and spikes are numerous, the impurities are removed and dried in the sun. |
