| Origin and best harvesting period |
Sour dates are mainly produced in Hebei, Shaanxi, Liaoning and Henan, but are also produced in Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Shanxi, Shandong, Anhui and Jiangsu. The fruit is harvested in the autumn when it is ripe, usually between September and October, and is best when the grains are large and full and the seeds are yellow and white. |
