Description Alloaromadendrene is a member of the class of compounds known as 5,10-cycloaromadendrane sesquiterpenoids. 5,10-cycloaromadendrane sesquiterpenoids are aromadendrane sesquiterpenoids that arise from the C5-C10 cyclization of the aromadendrane skeleton. Alloaromadendrene is a woody tasting compound and can be found in a number of food items such as safflower, sweet marjoram, sweet bay, and spearmint, which makes alloaromadendrene a potential biomarker for the consumption of these food products.
